Debilitating icing for Midwest Monday morning commute
The same storm that brought the tornado and derecho threat to the southern Plains moves into the Midwest for Monday. Minneapolis to Green Bay, Wisconsin will wake up to freezing rain making the morning commute a nightmare. Central Michigan gets hit midday. Up to a quarter-inch of ice could accrete on trees, powerlines and roadways. That is more than enough to make roads slick and cause power outages with downed trees and lines.
