Wind Chill Watches are in effect for central and northern Alabama for the first time since at least 2006, while Hard Freeze Watches are posted from Louisiana to Alabama. This may be the coldest air in at least five years east of Mississippi. Wind Chill Advisories may be needed all the way to the Gulf Coast.
