Coast-to-coast storm pummels Southern California with heavy rain, flooding, high winds
The heaviest rain will slide south into Southern California on Sunday. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain is expected for the coast and valleys, with the heaviest rain moving over the Los Angeles Basin on Sunday morning, then the San Diego Basin on Sunday afternoon. Gusty winds are also expected across Southern California, with gusts between 50 and 70 mph over the interior valleys and in the mountains.
