Dangerous severe storms could spawn tornado outbreak in South on Tuesday

A potent large-scale dip in the jet stream will move out of the Rockies and into the Plains on Tuesday. This is expected to lead to a dangerous severe episode with hail the size of golf balls and wind gusts in excess of 70 mph. Given the current forecast parameters suggested by forecast models, should they hold into Tuesday, a tornado outbreak will also be possible.
