Heavy rain, snow expected out West
By Saturday morning, light snow and freezing will be falling from northwest Oregon to western Montana. Winter weather advisories are up for a few inches of snow accumulation and glaze of ice. This will make travel treacherous Saturday morning. Winds will also be strong, generally gusting to 45 mph with 60 mph winds possible along the Rocky Mountain Front. The light snow will reach Utah, Wyoming and Colorado during the second half of Saturday. A dusting to an inch is possible in Salt Lake City, Denver and Cheyenne while a few inches will fall in the mountains.
