Colder temperatures, rain coming to Northwest

The hot, dry and smoky conditions that have been in place across the Northwest for the past few weeks will finally come to an end Friday as an incoming area of low pressure and strong cold front bring the first significant rain to the region since June. This will be the start of a massive pattern change with continued rounds of rain expected next week.
