Warm temps and poor air quality plague the Pacific Northwest

Seattle and Portland will flirt with record high temperatures again to round out the weekend. An upper lever high pressure system anchors smoke from nearby wildfires over the area creating areas of moderate to unhealthy air quality in places. The NWS issued an Air Quality Alert. Relief arrives late Monday with a cold front and westerly winds to clear out the smoke.
