Atlantic beginning to stir with signs of increased tropical activity

We are currently in the quietest stretch of August topical weather in years. For the first time since 1982, there have been no named storms between July 3 to August 24. If no named storms form by the end of August, it will be just the third time since 1950 with no August named storms.
