Looking back at the August 2016 historic floods that hit Louisiana

On August 12, 2016, prolonged rainfall caused flooding in parts of Louisiana. Up to 30 inches fell in the southeast parts of the state, causing widespread flash flooding and record river flooding. 13 people were killed, and numerous homes and buildings were destroyed.
