Winter storm producing snow and ice from Southern Plains to Midwest

A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet is forecast to extend from portions of Central and North Texas to the Ozarks and the mid-Mississippi and Ohio valleys. Meanwhile, snow is expected north of that ice zone from parts of the Central Plains to the Midwest and Great Lakes.
