Gulf disturbance fuels tropical downpours as Hurricane Hunters set to fly into system on Friday

The National Hurricane Center continues to keep their eye on an area of low pressure moving through the Gulf of America. Over the next day, this system is forecast to move west-southwestward to westward eventually into Texas by this weekend thus ending its chances for development. Regardless of tropical cyclone formation, locally heavy rainfall is possible for portions of the northern Gulf coast into this weekend.
