Fernand becomes post-tropical as new area to watch is identified in the Atlantic

Fernand became post-tropical Thursday morning as the Atlantic looks to take a breather, with no new systems expected to develop over the next few days. However, a new area to watch was designated Thursday morning in the eastern part of the Main Development Region. It's possible that activity could begin to pick up again sometime after Labor Day as atmospheric conditions gradually become more favorable heading into the first weekend of September.
