National Hurricane Center eyes area to watch in Atlantic as tropics take a holiday break
Labor Day has historically been one of the most active parts of hurricane season, fortunately the tropics in the Atlantic are taking a break in time for the holiday weekend. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area to watch for possible tropical development off the coast of Africa sometime after Labor Day. Overall conditions will become more favorable for tropical activity by the middle of September.
