King tide threatens Charleston, South Carolina with coastal flooding
The King Tide will bring another round of high water, with persistent onshore winds adding to the risk by trapping water along the shoreline, especially in Florida. This King Tide coincides with the moon’s closest approach to Earth, creating a supermoon known as the Hunter’s Moon, or Harvest Moon. In Charleston Harbor, water can climb to 7.5 to 8 feet during King Tide events, flooding roads and disrupting the downtown. FOX Weather Correspondent Katie Byrne.
