Florida drenched by much-needed rain amid extreme drought
An area of low pressure moving eastward across Florida is bringing much-needed rain to the Sunshine State this week amid the state's worst drought in 25 years. A widespread 1-2 inches of rain is expected across the Florida Peninsula through Friday, with pockets of 3-5 inches possible across parts of the Atlantic Coast. A Level 2 out of 4 Flash Flood Threat covers parts of the Florida East Coast, while Rip Current Warnings are likely from Jacksonville to Port St. Lucie through Friday.
