Colorado fire weather threat deemed 'Particularly Dangerous Situation' by National Weather Service
Extreme fire weather conditions now exist from just north of Denver northward into Wyoming including Cheyenne. The combination of continued dry winds coming down the Rocky Mountains plus plenty of dry fuel will have elevated wildfire concerns on Friday. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued the first ever "Particularly Dangerous Situation" Fire Weather Warning in Colorado, covering parts of Boulder and Jefferson counties. Fire Weather Alerts conditions also cover parts of eastern Nebraska and southeastern South Dakota.
