Severe storm threat increases across parts of Ohio Valley, strong tornadoes possible
Severe thunderstorms, with potential to produce a few tornadoes, hail and damaging wind gusts, are possible across parts of the Mid-Mississippi and Ohio valleys Thursday afternoon into early evening. NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has issued Level 3 out of 5 risk of severe thunderstorms for an area covering more than a million people in southeastern Illinois and southern Indiana. Strong (EF-2+) tornadoes are possible.
