Cross-country storm pattern forming in the west, bringing potential rain and snow

A cross-country storm system is moving into the Southwest or the Southern Plains this weekend. There are two scenarios that may come from this low-pressure system with either the South experiencing heavy rain or the North seeing significant snow. On top of that, a dip in the jet stream is expected to stall over the West, potentially opening the door for powerful storms in the South.
