Andrea forms in the north Atlantic, the first named storm of the season

The first named storm of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane is upon us as Tropical Storm Andrea has formed in the north Atlantic. The naming comes just four days after the average date of the first named storm. No impacts are expected from the tiny storm in the middle of the Atlantic, and a wall of hostile winds will quickly tear the storm apart tonight.
