FOX Weather Meteorologist
Melanie Black serves as an on-air host and meteorologist for FOX Weather. She joined the platform in 2026.
Prior to joining FOX Weather, Black served as a weekend morning meteorologist at WHDH-TV in Boston. While there, she covered Hurricane Lee’s impact on the region, numerous winter storms and other severe weather events. From 2020-2022, she worked as a morning meteorologist and traffic anchor at NBC affiliate KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California following a six-year stint as a traffic reporter at NBC affiliate KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona. She began her career in Joplin, Missouri at KSNF-TV as a multimedia journalist.
A graduate of University of Arizona with a degree in journalism, Black received her Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University. She is a passionate supporter of the Special Olympics and was honored by the organization’s Northern California chapter as the 2022 Philanthropic Volunteer of the Year Award.
