MANCHESTER, Tenn. – Bad news for concertgoers planning on attending the Bonnaroo Music Festival next year, as recent severe storm impacts have forced the owners of the land to cancel events for 2027 to recover.
Located just an hour outside Nashville, this event hosts thousands of music lovers every year on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee,
But unfortunately, due to recent severe storms, the owners have made the difficult decision to close the venue next year to make adequate repairs and recover.

Despite recent improvements to the property, such as an improved drainage system, 135 acres of new grass and 4.5 miles of new roadways to strengthen the farm's resilience, persistent, repeated rounds of intense storms have battered the main venue.

"With limited time to recuperate from back-to-back years of storms, including the heavy rainstorm on Sunday this year, the farm, particularly the main venue, needs a break to rest and recover," the Bonnaroo Music Festival said in an Instagram post.
Photos shared from the recent event earlier in the summer show the muddy and flooded landscape in front of the stage where thousands of people pack closely together.

After a job well done recovering and making things work this year, festival officials have decided to take a year off.
The festival has been running for the last 24 years and provides a great economic opportunity for local businesses and restaurants in the area, but 2027 will be a quiet year.
