Schedule of Products
Local forecasts are generally in the system between 0800 and 0915 daily. The Satellite Rain Analysis is updated twice daily and is in the system at approximately 0700 and 1530. The SSM/I Microwave Moisture Analyses are normally updated with each DMSP satellite pass over the area from the western U.S. to about 140W. Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts are now generated for the Napa/ Sonoma Counties areas as well as Mendocino and Humboldt Counties on a daily basis...twice daily during storms. The Santa Cruz/Monterey County QPF will be implemented approximately Jan 1, 2005 to provide a complete coastal QPF package updated daily from the Humboldt Coast to San Diego, twice daily during storms.
The 30 day outlook text is issued weekly around noon on Mondays, or
Tuesday if Monday is a holiday. The 30 day outlook maps of temperature and
precipitation are generally issued around the 25th of the month, and 90 Day
outlook maps are generally issued within a few days of the first of each month.
